What changes the price of a corrugated box?
Internal dimensions
Length, breadth and height affect the board area. Measure the packed product and allow only the clearance needed for inserts or cushioning.
Ply and paper GSM
More layers and heavier paper normally use more material. Strength also depends on flute, paper grade, box dimensions and construction.
Box style and conversion
Regular cartons, die-cut mailers, windows, handles, partitions and special closures require different blank sizes, tooling and conversion work.
Printing and artwork
Print method, number of colours, ink coverage, plates, lamination and finishing can add setup and per-box cost.
Order quantity
Larger runs can distribute setup costs across more boxes, but storage, cash flow and realistic reorder demand should also guide quantity.
Wastage, freight and taxes
Trim and production wastage, samples, tooling, live paper rates, delivery location and applicable taxes are confirmed in the final quotation.
